When Josh & Jermaine described their wedding vision as colourful, unconventional with a sprinkling of disco party and Wes Anderson aesthetic they had my heart straight away. All the fun stationery and signage details from Josh & Jermaine’s amazing wedding zinged with colour and was full of surprises and unexpected moments.
They wanted their custom invitation design to reflect their mutual love for gaming, bubble tea, Japanese cuisine & Jermaine’s Chinese Singaporean heritage so I included these elements as quirky little doodle illustrations. The pink and red invitation itself is in a trifold card format (packaged in the iconic Mendl’s blue coloured ribbon (IYKYK!) and a vintage hotel key chain shaped swing tag) which opens up to reveal the inside.
Jermaine and Josh’s invitations set the vibrant party themed tone & their on the day pieces carried the same design elements over to keep everything beautifully cohesive. I love their movie poster welcome sign (it’s going to make a wonderful keepsake to hang in their house, cute wavy drink charms (how cute are the little tassels?!) and dual layered acrylic bar sign (the mirrored and fluoro pink coloured acrylic giving party vibes).
It was such a special treat to design this wedding stationery suite and signage bursting with unique personality. I truly love how the newlyweds’ non-traditional, anti-bride wedding vision came to life. Definitely a wedding I wanted to gate crash! 🩷🩵❤️💛
